Vacancy announcement for the position of:
INTERNAL AUDITOR
one (1) employee (m/f)
Internal audit at MKD CENTRALUS d.o.o. Mostar is carried out by an Internal Auditor appointed by the Supervisory Board.
The Internal Auditor reports to the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee. The appointment decision defines the auditor’s rights, obligations and responsibilities.
The Internal Auditor is a separate, independent function responsible for auditing operations in accordance with legislation, regulations of the Banking Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the internal acts of MKD CENTRALUS d.o.o. Mostar.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Planning and conducting internal audits in accordance with the annual internal audit plan;
- Preparing audit reports with findings, conclusions and recommendations, and submitting them to Management and the Audit Committee;
- Monitoring compliance with all adopted company acts and applicable legislation affecting the organisation’s operations;
- Examining the compliance of existing business processes with legislation, international financial reporting standards and internal acts; assessing the adequacy of internal controls, the economy and efficiency of business processes and decision-making; identifying risks and making recommendations on internal control implementation.
- Monitoring implementation of recommendations and corrective measures;
- Cooperating with external auditors and regulators as required;
- Performing other internal audit duties assigned by the competent bodies.
Candidate requirements:
- Education: university degree, seventh qualification level, in economics or law (first-cycle Bologna higher education worth 180–240 ECTS credits, or second- or third-cycle higher education);
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience;
- Certified Internal Auditor qualification within one year of employment if the candidate does not already hold it;
- Working proficiency in spoken and written English;
- Computer literacy;
- Category B driving licence;
- Ability to organise work independently, readiness for teamwork and fieldwork, technical skills appropriate to internal audit responsibilities, ethics, analytical ability and accountability.
Candidates must not be subject to any legal impediment to performing the duties in this job description.
Desirable:
- Certified Auditor or Certified Accountant qualification;
- Experience in internal or external audit;
- Knowledge of IIA standards and sound risk management practices.
